Work With Us: Project & Intervention Proposal Opportunities

The Indigenous Bar Association in Canada (IBA) invites individuals, legal professionals, consultants, and organizations to submit proposals for project-based work and court interventions that support our mandate and advance justice for Indigenous Peoples.

From time to time, the IBA undertakes initiatives that require external expertise. These may include:

  • Policy development and legislative reform

  • Legal research and writing

  • Court interventions and strategic litigation support

  • Legal education, mentorship, and outreach

  • Event planning and facilitation

  • Resource design, translation, or curriculum development

We are especially interested in working with those who bring Indigenous legal knowledge, lived experience, or demonstrated commitment to Indigenous justice.

Court Interventions

The IBA periodically intervenes in court cases of national significance where Indigenous legal orders, access to justice, or systemic discrimination are at issue. If you are seeking IBA involvement as an intervener or wish to collaborate on a potential intervention, please include a detailed proposal outlining the legal issue, case status, timeline, and proposed role for the IBA.

Eligibility
