Associate Lawyer Position

Our lawyers provide advice and representation to unions, professional associations and individual employees with respect to all aspects of the work relationship, including labour relations litigation, human rights, pension and employment benefits, health and safety, workers’ compensation, professional discipline, criminal defense, civil litigation including appellate work, Charter of Rights and public interest advocacy, and class actions.

Ursel Phillips Fellows Hopkinson LLP is currently seeking an Associate to practice primarily in the area of labour law, with the opportunity for litigation before arbitrators and workplace tribunals.
The ideal candidate be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario and will have:
1 to 5 years relevant experience in the practice of union-side labour law
demonstrated strong communication, analytical and research skills
the ability to work both as part of a team and independently as needed
strong time management skills
commitment to participating as part of a diverse and respectful workplace culture with a wide variety of trade union clients
Expected salary range: $102,000 to $136,000, plus performance bonus and competitive benefits
