INTERMEDIATE ASSOCIATE

Nahwegahbow Corbiere is a firm acting exclusively for First Nation individuals, communities, and organizations. We offer general representation for First Nations in all matters related to governance and specialized work in Aboriginal and Treaty Rights litigation and negotiations.

 

We are seeking an Intermediate Associate (4-7 years) to join our dynamic team of lawyers committed to serving First Nation communities. As an Intermediate Associate you will be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario and will have:

 

  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in Aboriginal law;

  • Experience working on complex litigation;

  • Experience working with First Nation communities and organizations;

  • Strong communication, analytical, and research skills;

  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills;

  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently; and

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

 

Knowledge of Anishinaabe laws and protocols will be considered an asset.
