IBA Student Members Joseph Flowers and Marie Belleau-Veevee will be featured in an upcoming film by Guy Simoneau at the Montreal World Film Festival, called Qallunaaliaqpallianiq - Heading South. In this documentary, Simoneau shines a spotlight on five urban Inuit leaders, including Flowers and Belleau-Veevee. Flowers is shown advocating for Inuit hospital patients in the Montreal neighborhood of Villeray, and attending law school at McGill University. Belleau-Veevee is shown in her home community, Iqaluit, as well as in Quebec City, Montreal and Ottawa in her various community and leadership involvements as well as in her role as a law student. The screening wilL be held at the NFB theater, 1564 rue St-Denis (metro Berri-UQAM), on Monday 22 at 11 AM; on Tuesday 23 at 9:30 PM; on Wednesday 24 at 2:40 PM.
